T his oil painting was painted atop a rocky overlook at Waikoko on the North Shore of Kaua'i. The small at bay Waikoko is a crystal-clear sea-pool radiating sparkling jewel tones. The crisp waves near the horizon break in continuity as surfers ride the swell into the golden shore.

The wind was strong this afternoon, and my easel perched upon the rocks as the sun warmed my back. I flowed deeper into the present moment as the seascape melted into my brushstrokes.
